Over the past two weeks we’ve broken ground at Winchester and constructed one of the two basement parking areas. Large amounts of earth had to be removed to get the correct levels which created a logistical challenge on the tight urban site. Especially important on this project as the timber frame superstructure has also commenced fabrication at the factory in Andover.
Foundations have been dug in the tight garden site in Reigate ready for the concrete pour due a couple of hours after this photo was taken. Due to lack of access the concrete wagon will need to sit on the main road and the concrete pumped into the trenches. You can make out the existing building in the background which is in the process of being converted into four 1 bed flats.
Hickory have been appointed on a design and build basis to build a 40m2 extension for a new client in Godalming. The extension is design to be in keeping with the local vernacular and will be completed over a quick 10 week period.
The Whyteleafe project is now in full swing with the final elements of carpentry, plumbing and decorations being undertaken in line with our programme. The flats look great and have really taken shape over the past few weeks. All units now sold.
